Letter of Inquiry Process
We support eligible, mission-aligned organizations that are working to improve health and wellness in Nebraska and surrounding communities. The purpose of the letter of inquiry is to determine whether an organization and its proposal meet our eligibility guidelines and are well aligned with our mission and current priorities before the organization spends the time and resources on a full application. LOIs can be submitted at any time and must be submitted using the form provided below [document attached]. The LOI should present information clearly and concisely.
Clarkson Institute staff will review LOIs to assess their alignment with the Institute’s mission and priorities and to identify potential funding opportunities. If we find that your organization is a strong fit, a member of our grants team will email you instructions and timelines for submitting a full application during our next grant cycle. Please note that being invited to submit an application does not guarantee funding.
The LOI process should not be used for the following types of funding requests: event sponsorships or dinners, medical research, annual fund drives, endowments, or retirement of debt.
Before submitting your LOI
- Review our eligibility guidelines to confirm that your organization meets eligibility and geographical requirements (listed below) and is consistent with Clarkson Institute’s mission.
- Review our current LOI timeline to understand when funding will be awarded.
Current LOI timeline
Clarkson Institute has two grant review cycles each year, spring and fall. While LOIs may be submitted on a rolling basis, responses to LOIs will be sent in alignment with our two grant cycles.
LOIs submitted after July 1, 2026, will be reviewed as part of our Spring 2027 grant cycle. We anticipate completing our review of LOIs and sending invitations to complete a full application before January 1, 2027.
