Any existing provider working with a patient with a mental health concern.
You do not need to have attended a Bridges to Mental Health program.
However, if you have attended a Bridges to Mental Health program, your experience will be slightly streamlined as we already have certain information on file for you–your primary work zip code, for example.
You do not need to be a resident of Nebraska.

When you contact the consultation line, you can:

- Discuss risk factors, warning signs, or ambiguity
- Identify resources or escalation pathways
- Get support when you’re unsure how to proceed
This is a consultative conversation–not an intake, diagnosis, or directive.
The consultation line is staffed Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM CST. Major holidays excluded.
If you call after business hours, you may choose to leave a voicemail. Do NOT include confidential information or patient-protected health information (PHI) in the voicemail.
If you leave a voicemail, your call will be returned the next business day.
Your first point of contact will be with a behavioral health navigator located in Nebraska. Depending on whether you submitted the form, called during business hours, or left a voicemail for a callback the next business day, the navigator will record and assess your inquiry and then connect you with a psychiatrist.
The goal is for you to connect with a psychiatrist within 30 minutes of your outreach–unless you called outside of business hours or requested a specific callback time in your conversation with the navigator.
Each clinician is affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital and is trained in pediatric and adult psychiatry; one of the psychiatrists is also trained in perinatal psychiatry. Meet the psychiatry team here.
The consultation service is free of charge and made possible through the generous support of the Hawks Foundation.
