Grantmaking
Investing in the doers and the dreamers–those moving the health of Nebraskans forward
We invest in organizations and initiatives that strengthen the healthcare workforce and increase access to care, particularly in the areas of behavioral health and maternal child health, while building systems that create thriving communities. Guided by a focus on prevention at every level–from promoting wellness and addressing root causes to supporting timely intervention and treatment, we strive to create measurable impact that improves the lives of Nebraskans today and for generations to come.
Awarded grants
Clarkson Institute’s funding continues to evolve to meet the needs of our communities. While the initial focus was on supporting the capital needs of local healthcare, the intent of our funding has shifted to support projects that increase access to care in Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, with an emphasis on supporting underserved populations in our region.
Understanding our grantmaking
We make grants to organizations that are working to improve the lives of Nebraskans–primarily through the focus areas of behavioral health, healthcare education, maternal health, and workforce–then we actively work with our grantee partners to understand the impact of the grant.
